Magic Morning

In the low light of daybreak

everywhere I looked something caught my eye
and I wondered when did this happen
how could this be
all the imperfections
sanded smooth
and more than that
glowing from the inside
and then I let them go
the questions
and followed
image after image with my camera
like a bee
in a garden
gathering nectar.

  3. Tom,

Hello. You are so welcome. It's nice to see you here on this new site. I'm glad you like the images. This, of course, is chapter 2, a kind of continuation from my new post on AFPB. And, by the way, I love your latest headshot!

My warm regards to you and your lovely wife, Aneet

  4. Today, I sat in the back garden with my 3-yr-old grandson and watched hummingbirds at the feeder, crows in the treetops and heard hawks and roosters across the field. Kid tried to imitate every bird. I imagine I hear him again as I read your poem and see your photos. Beautiful.

  5. Aneet,
I love both blogs, truly! Facebook posts too. On this blog, that final image of the birds is especially mesmerizing. My eyes keep going back to it.

    1. Hello Anonymous,

I don't get a notification of messages posted on this particular blog (don't know why,) and this message slipped through the cracks. Generally, I try to keep up with my messages daily.

Just noticed this one tonight. For some reason, it got relegated to my spam file. Anyhow, thank you so much for your comment. It is a lovely thought: you hiking in the mountains with the dog you rescued 14 years ago. Thank you so much for sharing this. I am not able to associate you with any Facebook message. It would be nice to have a name, or at least initials.

Sending you my good wishes, and oh, an apology for this unusually late answer.

      Sincerely, ~ Anitra
